Graphic Designer

Location: Washington, DC, or Remote

Job Type:  Full or part time (15-20 hours a week) will be considered

Overview:
Al-Monitor, a trusted and award-winning independent source of Middle East news and analysis, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented graphic designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging graphics and digital content that effectively communicates our brand message across various platforms. Responsibilities:

• Design and produce graphic materials including advertisements, brochures, logos, corporate identity pieces and digital graphics for social media and websites.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop design solutions that have high visual impact and align with brand strategies.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements when necessary, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs.
• Manage multiple projects from concept through to completion under tight deadlines.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to keep the company at the forefront of digital design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts or a related field.
• Proven graphic designing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other graphic design software.
• Strong understanding of branding, color and typography.
• Excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think creatively and deliver impressive concepts.
• Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with motion graphics and web design.
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
• Experience with and knowledge of the Middle East.
