Fréderike Geerdink is a Dutch journalist based in Turkey since 2006. She is the only foreign journalist permanently based in Diyarbakir. Geerdink specializes in the Kurdish issue and in 2014 published her book on the Uludere/Roboski massacre, "De jongens zijn dood" ("The boys are dead"). On Twitter: @fgeerdink.
