The release of President Donald Trump’s long-awaited Israeli-Palestinian peace proposal this week has thrown a curveball into the Democratic presidential primary in the crucial days ahead of the Iowa caucuses Monday.
In the wake of Trump’s proposal — which would allow Israel to retain all its West Bank settlements and annex the Jordan Valley — the left-wing Jewish activist group IfNotNow put former Vice President Joe Biden and former Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, on the spot as part of a campaign to cut Israeli military aid.
