West Bank violence leaves at least eight Palestinians dead
The latest round of violence in the West Bank comes as Israel is bracing for an expected response from Iran and its regional allies to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
A new round of clashes with Israeli forces in the West Bank has left at least eight Palestinians dead on Tuesday amid escalating violence in the Palestinian territory as the Israel-Hamas war continues in the Gaza Strip.
At least four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on a vehicle in the northern city of Jenin, according to the official WAFA news agency. The Palestinian Health Ministry identified one of them as Ahmed Hussam al-Din Kamel al-Saadi, 18. Another person was critically wounded.
According to WAFA, clashes in the volatile city and camp of Jenin have been ongoing since last night, when Israeli forces stormed the city with bulldozers as drones hovered above.
Separately, at dawn on Tuesday, four other Palestinians including a 14-year-old were killed in Israeli fire in the town of Aqaba in the northern Tubas governorate.
