Israeli forces killed at least six Palestinians early on Friday during a raid in al-Faraa refugee camp, on the northern West Bank, the Ministry of Health in Ramallah said, as violence continues to escalate elsewhere in the territory.

Shortly after the raid, military vehicles were deployed to the area, in the governorate of Tubas, and snipers took up positions on top of several buildings across the camp, according to WAFA, the official Palestinian news agency.

Clashes erupted between the Israelis and camp residents, with intense explosions and gunfire heard.
