Saudi Arabia’s mining sector announced two notable deals on Wednesday with the United Kingdom and through a joint venture with the state-owned Saudi Arabian Mining Company.

The United Kingdom’s Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy Department established a partnership with Saudi Arabia to “deepen collaboration on critical minerals” such as graphite and lithium. The two countries will work to diversify sources for unspecified minerals, boost Saudi investment in British manufacturing, and explore opportunities for British firms to do business in Saudi Arabia, according to a press release.
