Eight dead after flooding in Iraqi Kurdistan

Several people have died as a result of flooding in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq today.

A heavy rainstorm hit the regional capital Erbil last night. At least eight people were killed and four rescue workers were injured. Several neighborhoods flooded, with vehicles swept away and water collecting in houses, Kurdish media outlets reported.
