Ship that blocked Suez Canal leaves Egyptian waters

The Ever Given was released from Egyptian detention last week following an undisclosed agreement with the massive container ship's owner.

The ship that got stuck in the Suez Canal left Egypt’s territorial waters on Tuesday.

The massive container ship Ever Given signaled it was in the eastern Mediterranean between Egypt and Cyprus on Tuesday en route to the Dutch city of Rotterdam, according to the ship tracking website MarineTraffic. The vessel left Egyptian waters at 4 a.m. local time, a Suez Canal source told Reuters.
