Israel strikes Hamas following election day attack

Israeli jets hit several targets in Gaza on Wednesday following a rocket attack in southern Israel while Prime Minister Netanyahu was campaigning there.

The Israeli military struck Hamas positions in Gaza following a rocket hitting southern Israel during the country’s election.

Israel Defense Forces fighter jets and helicopters struck a Hamas rocket manufacturing site and military post in the Palestinian territory, the IDF tweeted early Wednesday morning local time. It did not report on any casualties.
