At least 20 people are dead after a fire ripped through a clothing factory on the outskirts of Cairo on Thursday.

Fifteen fire trucks were called to the scene of the fire, which left at least 24 people injured in the industrial area of Obour, a town some 22 miles north of the Egyptian capital. Videos uploaded to social media showed crowds of people gathering helplessly as plumes of gray and black smoke engulfed the building.
