Damascus hospitals' intensive care units full with coronavirus patients

The United Nations recently said there are more COVID-19 cases in Syria than the government has reported.

Hospitals in the Syrian capital, Damascus, are struggling with an increase in COVID-19 cases. 

Intensive care units at public hospitals in the city reached full capacity Thursday. The lack of space for people seriously ill with the coronavirus has led doctors to transfer patients to other provinces, The Associated Press reported.
