تصاعد حدة الخطاب الدیني حول عملیة الاستفتاء من اجل الاستقلال والتی من المؤمل اجرائه في أقلیم کردستان العراق في سبتمبر المقبل بین رجال الدین الکرد الذین يعتبرون العملیة واجبا دینیا وقومیا، ورجال الدین الشیعة العراقیین الذین یحرمون العملیة بأعتباره تقسیما للعراق.
